Dear Bis. Howard,
On behalf of the leadership and Members of the Church of God of Prophecy in the Leewards Islands, Dominica and Surinam. Heartfelt condolences are extended to our General Overseer Bishop Randall Howard and all the other relatives of brother Frank Howard. Brother Howard has not only been used of God to father and nurture our General Overseer, but also stood behind his dear wife who labored faithful for decades in these territories and around the world. His service to the church at our international offices, marked by his faithful and quiet personality has served as an inspiration to multitudes. May the God of all grace sustain each member of his family circle as well as the church family who mourn with you at his passing. We are confident of the words “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. Let us not grieve as those who have no hope.
Previous church engagements make it impossible at this time to be with you.
In God’s Service,
-------------------------- Bishop Ewing I.O. Dorsett Sr. Regional Overseer, COGOP

I remember Brother Howard as a gentle man, a respected man, a man of dignity, honor, and a man of prayer. Although we sorrow, yet rejoice that his journey of life has led him home. A Symbol of Hope A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam And for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world But then it flies again And though we wish it could have stayed... We feel lucky to have seen it. -Unknown

Randy, Sis Kathy and family: Please note that our prayers in this time of bereavement are with you. In your grieving I pray that it will be remembered that Bro. Frank lived a life in preparation for such a time as this, and that in dying he may live again, eternally.
1 Corinthians 15:16-20 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
Bro. Frank had an example in Jesus Christ. Be Encouraged!!! Fitz-arthur & Delores Brown, New York

As any other Christian that leaves this earth behind, he moved to a tent in heavan to be with the Lord. Therefore let us not be sad for the passing of a fellow brother, but let just rejoice that his example has earned him the right to live at the right hand of the father. What an honor. One that I hope to obtain and look forward to more than anything else that this world could offer.

Name: Phillip D. Smith E-mail: Date posted: April 04, 2008 - 04:03 pm Message: I am grateful to Brother Howard for his service to our country and to our church. He was an example of how a man should serve as the priest of his household. He was also a churchman who made an exceptional contribution both to his local congregation and to the church at large. He led a life of service to his God and to his fellowman that any Christian could emulate. I offer my prayers and condolences to his family. With his passing, Heaven became infinitely richer and the earth infinitely poorer. We are not likley to see the quality of his generation in the church again.
Because of grace, Phil Smith
